• I am introverted, but once you get to know me, you won't be able to get me to shut up 😅

I grew up during the era of slap wristbands, jelly shoes, and clear see-through dial-up phones.

I drink a minimum of three cups of coffee a day and really am trying to get better at drinking more water.

I always daydreaming about naps but never take them.

I think sagebrush, fresh coffee, and the garden after a good rainstorm are the best smells in the world.

I love thrift shopping and finding a good yard sale.

And I'm always down for a board game night when paired with a good glass of wine.

What you'll find a lot of here is just an artist, mama, and wife trying her absolute best. You'll find messy, you'll find real. You'll find inspiration for weddings and elopements, travel suggestions, and see me attempt to cook gourmet on my stories every once and a while.

But what you'll ultimately find is me and my heart, sharing stories of incredible people, connection, and a whole lot of love.

I'm glad your here.

  • Is it just me, or does it feel like offline is the new luxury?

In a world of algorithms, followers, hashtags, and optimal posting times I think it's so important that we remember the importance of HUMAN connection.

There's a part in one of my favorite books, Eat Pray Love, where Liz (the main character) is taught the Italian phrase Dolce Far Niente which translates into The Sweetness of Nothing.

She is told that we Americans don't know pleasure, we find it relaxing after working for a job we hate 5+ days a week, to sit with a six-pack of crappy beer and watch TV. But there is no richness, no connection no deep joy, no pleasure that comes from this.

I find this to be also true when it comes to social media. Feeling the need not only to be online and present all the time (I mean if we don't share it on the 'gram it didn't happen is a mantra right?. ) Feeling the need to show up, put together, with perfectly crafted homes or aesthetics and ultimately draining ourselves for social media fame whose fiscal or life-giving value literally equates to $0.00.

It also can be taken away at the drop of a hat. This app, nor any other social media platform, belongs to us. What does belong to us is our connection to people. Our experiences. Us being present and sinking into the Dolce Far Niente of life with those we love.

Double Tap if you can relate and save for a good reminder on the days when your worn out and just feel the pressure to be Online and Present.

  • This is the ultimate #throwbackthursday

This was my first wedding, ever.

I'm not fully sure how or why B & D trusted me but man, I'm so blessed that they did.

It was their wedding that hooked me on smaller, intimate weddings from the very start. It was their wedding that made me fall in love with documenting other's love stories. Being present for those small and intimate moments and documenting them.

B & D, I cannot believe this was 2017 but I'm so grateful for you both and have loved watching where life has taken us both.
