Hikaru Dorodango; translates as shiny mud dumplings. A traditional Japanese children's hobby. For year 8 it was a study in natural materials. A display of this at home learning task with the amazing Mr. Lowe is currently in the MSLC. 🙌🏻👏

Our 150th community celebration was due to happen this long weekend. But as we know everything changed this year. We celebrate Mother Aloysius Shanahan our founding and pioneering Mother Superior. She spent 27 remarkable years at St Raphael’s from 1894-1921. She left a legacy as an extraordinary musician, was well known for her administrative skill, a formidable educator but also a deeply spiritual woman. She exemplifies our school motto of “Strength and Gentleness”. #straphaelscowra #bathurstdiocese #150years #sesquicentenary
