If 2020 taught us anything, it’s actually to both 1. show up and 2. surrender. “Okay, okay. What on earth are you talking about Krissi?” Hear me out girlfriend: I always have to champion myself (and I learned this really well in 2020). There will be no perfect moment to take action. In fact, perfectionism is just people scared to show up. Ready does not exist. So, those weight loss goals you have that you keep telling yourself, when ___ happens, then i’ll know it’s okay to take action: 👉”When I eat this meal and get completely full, then I can start my diet.” 👉”When I get more sleep, then I can go workout.” 👉”When I get extra money, then I will invest in that life changing program.” 👎 No. no. no. Surrender those thoughts of anxiety and compromise to God. Then show up. Taking action right now is when the tables start to turn. You will never be in the perfect state of mind to start something new. Golden Nugget 🐥: Happiness is a result of your circumstances and is fleeting. Joy is a choice even amidst the chaos. ✨ Let’s strive to finally surrender this idea of everlasting happiness, show up to change our lives for the better, no matter how we feel, and HAVE joy. Be honest, before this post, did you strive to be more happy or more joyous? Now that you know joy is a choice and happiness is fleeting, what are some ways you can make a choice to bring joy into your life? What are some habits you can surrender and joyous thoughts you can bring in? Comment below!

Great things never came from comfort zones. You may be sitting there, goals in mind, things to accomplish, extra pounds to hand out (😂) but why haven’t you taken the leap? We are never promised a minute more of the life we have now. Honestly ask yourself: If I were to pass right now, would I be happy with all I accomplished? Or is there something else I wish I could have shown myself and the world? For me, one of the many things I needed to accomplish to say “yes” to that one day is weight loss—and I did. But my weight loss came from taking risks. Nothing worth having in life is completely free. There is always some sort of exchange. Whether it be energy, time, sacrifice, or money—we have to get use to getting OK in the uncomfortable zone. God was all about risk taking. Whether Daniel, Moses, David, etc. God wants us to get out there and create a massively successful life. 👉When we get scared or fearful of taking risks, that is one of the many times we lean on Him for understanding and peace. I absolutely love the song Confidence by Sanctus Real that says: Give me faith like Daniel in the lions den, Give me hope like Moses in the wilderness, Give me a heart like David, Lord be my defense... So I can face my giants with confidence. Tell me: Where is somewhere or something in your life you can stand to gain more confidence? What is it that you need to right now in order to be fulfilled if your time was up soon? Comment below or DM.

I’v read over 50 scientific publications in the last week on intermittent fasting and... I realized that so much of our beliefs about food and diets are myths. They are simply not true and were put into our minds from the multi-billion dollar food companies like the snacking industry (yes, there is an entire billion dollar industry JUST for snacking) to gain massive profit. With Obesity AND starvation both at an all time high in our world, it’s up to us to start using our God-given brains and hearts to decipher what is actually true. Knowledge is just a fraction of the tools needed to be successful in life, let alone intermittent fasting. I was was deep into studying and meditating on the beginning of Proverbs, when I realized that science doesn’t have to be good or evil. In fact, God WANTS us to learn. However, it’s up to us to take that knowledge and apply it to our hearts in a practical way. Let’s look at Proverbs 2:2 “Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—“ It is SO important that as we learn new things and new “facts” and apply them to our heart in a practical way by saying: ✨Does this actually make sense in my heart? ✨Is there a lot of jargon (fancy words) being used to cover up a simple truth? ✨ Would God approve of this message? ✨Does this align with my core values as a human? ✨ If this is true, how did my ancestors survive? There are SO many myths around intermittent fasting alone, when the truth is that true results come from 3 main things (with application being the cherry on top): Knowledge, Self-trust, Prayer. That’s it. 🤔Would you be interested in a free Myth debunking guide to Intermittent fasting exposing the truth about the food industry and setting the record straight from a scientific AND faith-based approach? Confidence > Self-Love I don’t believe that confidence is self-love. I believe that self-love is a needed attribute to have, but I believe it comes AFTER we develop confidence. Neither confidence nor self-love can be bought or forced. Confidence is not about self-esteem or ego but rather your willingness to keep trying. It’s through the trying and doing that you build resilience to KEEP trying. You have to become confident through the DOING not just the thinking. Once we build this self-trust, confidence mountain, self-love flows naturally. All we have to do is show up in the places in our lives that matter. Truly matter. It may be nerve racking, but showing up to places and events that develop us like the gym, like work events, like educational courses are a sure way to build resilience and confidence. In what areas of your life are you showing up right now? What’s one area that you want to show up more in? Photo Cred @laurahornerphotography
